A balanced voice
I’m Jennifer LePla and I’m a State Representative Candidate for Carroll County’s District 2. I’m an independent thinker who aligns with protecting individual freedoms which means I’m a Republican.
NH’s tourism ads called us in 2016 and after searching for the perfect home, we choose Sandwich in 2017. I quickly learned that politics in NH are a passion. Hard Democrat Party line thinking and shaming to the point of malicious gossip and hateful commentary just because I countered with clear, well researched Republican views became the expected norm, yet I persisted. Covid 19 opened my eyes to how one’s party affiliation over common medical sense could wreak havoc on society.
Covid 19 began my journey to become very active in the political arena. My current roles are with the Carroll County Republican Committee and President of the Lakes Region Federated Republican Women.
Freedom. As we celebrate the 4th of July, I’m humbled with the reminder of what the brave men and women did to create this country and NH’s vital role. The spirit of independence continues to run strong. Home of the free because of the brave in the Live Free or Die state.
As your representative, I want to bring a balanced, respected voice to Concord. I want our district to have a seat at the table so our collective voice can be heard. I want to engage with each of you on matters of importance. I may personally make a different choice however as a Representative, I will be OUR voice. I will protect your rights to decide what you choose and defend the freedoms that were fought for, so we can live freely today.

Anita Burroughs is a gossip columnist
She wasn’t there. Anita Burroughs’ July 20 Substack writing was filled with hearsay not truths. Anita Burroughs wasn’t there yet the section where she is trying to paint a short interaction by me as “notable” is simply a lie. Before the event started, I had a nice chat with Bobbi Boudman…at least that’s my opinion of the exchange. When the event began and Ms. Boudman was recording, I quietly approached her and whispered the following “I don’t think they want you to record.” Ms. Boudman stated it was a public venue…she’s correct. That’s it. I didn’t raise my voice and make a scene. I left the event within minutes of that exchange.
The truth: no rudeness by me and I never said “stop.” I will always reach out and connect with someone for clarification to verify the truth. The voters in Carroll 2 deserve an honest Representative.
What else does Anita Burroughs try to state as facts when she’s simply gossiping?

“The Constitution is a guide which I will never abandon.”
George Washington made this statement in 1795. As a State Representative Candidate for Carroll 2, I stand in agreement with our first US President. The founding fathers had a vision that is being celebrated after 250 successful years of this country that upholds individual freedoms with limited government intervention. I believe each of us is intelligent enough to make decisions for ourselves vs the left wanting to control and believe they know more than the individual.
Anita Burroughs, in her November 3, 2022, Facebook post stated ”Thank you NH Liberty Alliance for your score of CT, which means I am a constitutional threat. Love it, sincerely.” Ms. Burroughs seems to have a goal that is in opposition to our first president. Anita’s May 3, 2025, Facebook post states: “The constitutional rights and due process of suspected immigrants are being trampled in NH.” Anita seems to not care for the US and NH Constitutions and will continue to vote to undermine what our founding fathers and the women who supported them fought for and believed in.
Is Anita Burroughs the best Representative for all voices in Carroll 2?
