For a balanced voice in Concord

Carroll County District 2 is a unique district that covers a vast geographic area from the south in Sandwich and Albany to the north in Hale’s Location reaching Hart’s Location, Bartlett, Jackson, and Chatham.

My goal is to bring a balanced voice building confidence with voters that issues important to them matter over party platforms.

Freedoms aren’t to be taken for granted. I will stand firm to strengthen your freedoms including medical, speech, 2A, school choice and more.

NO STATE INCOME TAXES!!!

WHAT SETS ME APART FROM THE

DEMOCRAT CANDIDATES?

Integrity, creativity, and empathy shape the way I will approach being a State Representative for Carroll County District 2.

These aren't just words—they’re the foundation of everything I do. I believe in doing great work, building real relationships, and making it easy for you to get the results you’re looking for with a balanced, well researched approach.

Connections I’ve already made will ensure our district will have a seat at the table.

My Story

Childhood

I grew up the youngest sibling to a retired public-school teacher and telephone lineman. A solid middle-class family in a small town in Michigan. The sacrifices by my parents became evident as I moved into adulthood.

I had a fabulous educational public-school experience that included sports, class office (three years as president), homecoming court, band, National Honor Society, along with being part of a county wide singing group which I occasionally also served as pianist.

Multiple honors and awards including Female Athlete of the Year, Army Award recipient, Outstanding Cheerleader, Daughter’s of the American Revolution Honor (which I proudly share with my mom), John Philip Sousa Award.

All of which I’m proud of and know these leadership and sports teams I participated on shaped my leadership style: if I please most of the people most of the time, I’ll be successful.

Secondary Education

Upon high school graduation and not having a clear secondary plan, I attended cosmetology college immediately earning the continued educational role to become an instructor. I had the dream of opening my own salon and a short year at a local business college begin my quest for an elusive Bachelor’s Degree.

My husband, whom I met in the Agape Singers, transferred to the University of Michigan and we moved onto campus enjoying the true college life experience. After supplementing his scholarships by working, I decided to attend nearby Eastern Michigan University in the College of Business with a focus on either Contract Law or Human Resource Management in Organization Development. Maslow’s Hierarchy is still part of my leadership style as I entered into the world outside of career but of volunteers.

I was set to become President of the Entrepreneur’s Club however God had a plan that motherhood was my “job”.

Life

My husband graduated U-M and we landed in New Mexico where our son was born. Too hot but at least it’s a dry heat only lasted four years. That time of my life was both hard and wonderful. Texas called!!

We found ourselves moving to the DFW area and built our lives in a wonderful area. I loved our big, beautiful home where many friends of our son would hang out after school before band practice. The front door was unlocked, and I smile thinking of all their shoes at the front door before hearing the giggles and fun. I directed my education and skills to volunteering on almost every level in PTA local units, Council and Area.

As our son graduated from college, it was time to consider our next phase of life and NH called!

While in the final stages of selling in 2016, an emergency hospitalization, blood transfusions, tests, more tests and surgery, I was diagnosed with Stage 2B colon cancer.

The move was in the final stages after initial surgery, and we landed in Dover for about a year before moving to Sandwich in April 2017. I’m grateful for the Seacoast Cancer Center through Wentworth Douglas Hospital for taking over my care. Life’s too short to not find joy!

Cancer free!!
